 Bruce Lee

Today I will tell you about the story of an amazing man who did beyond what an ordinary man could do. 

Yes, its Lee Jun - Fan, whom we call as Bruce Lee. 

As a dancer, philosopher, actor and as a martial artist, Bruce Lee had proven his talents in different fields. One of his greatest talent was he can punch 9 times within a second. His fighting speed is much greater, so in his movies, the part of his fight will be edited and is shown slowly. His movement was fast enough that even the viewers will not be able to understand what he had done. He was also a reason for the origin of martial arts in hollywood film industry and he is the one who presented martial arts in an easy way in America. 

Lee Jun - Fan was born on November 27, 1940 in San Francisco, California, U. S.  His father was Lee Hoi - Chuen and mother was Grace Ho. Later after Bruce Lee's birth they went back to their home land in Hong Kong. He completed his primary education in Hong Kong. 

He had a nature that he does not rest in any place and he was also weak in his studies. In his age of 12, he had to change his school due to his poor performance in studies. 

In this times, his main hobby was street fighting. His parents sent him to learn martial arts for self protection. He had learned kung fu under many masters. In his age of 16, he learned kung fu under Yip man, who was a famous grandmaster of the martial art Wing Chun. 

At these times also Bruce Lee continued with his hobby of street fighting and it was a huge burden for his parents. All this times he said that he will continue to fight for those on whose side justice is. That is when Bruce Lee's teacher and the coach of boxing team, Brother Edward, kept a challenge to participate in a tournament for school boxing team and to win the first prize. Then on Bruce Lee practised  hard for the tournament. In the final match, he had faced a person who had won the first prize for the last three times, but it was not a matter for Bruce Lee, he fought hard and won the tournament. 

He had reduced his street fight because of being getting engaged in his tournament. But after some years in 1959, a police case have been registered to him because of a street fight. His parents realized that the problem will get worse if he still stay there because that time he had fought with a person having criminal background. So in 1950, at his age of 19, he flied to America. His parents thought that he will not fight with any unknown person in America. 

Then for the next two years, all was going fine. In 1961, he had graduated in the field of psychology and philosophy. 

He started a martial arts coaching centre named Jun Fan and he started to teach Kung fu for Americans. That is when a school in America invited Bruce Lee for their annual day function. At that time Bruce was a young boy, so everyone seemed contempt and thought what this young boy is going to do there. Bruce Lee found a man much stronger and taller than him and invited him for a fight. When they both are getting ready for fight, the audience thought that Bruce Lee will be falling down soon. But with one punch Bruce Lee eliminated the man who is much stronger and taller than  him. After this program Bruce Lee became famous in America. Many Americans came to him  for learning martial arts. 

At this time onwards many enemies had been established. Among them, the biggest enemy was the chinese population  lived in America. They told that Kung fu is a part of their tradition and never teach this to Americans. He didn't mind their words and continued with his teachings.

That is when the Chinese population who lived in America invited Bruce Lee for a tournament. They kept a condition that if Bruce Lee wins, he can continue teaching martial arts in America and if he fails, he should not teach martial arts in America. The tournament was with Wong Jackman, a famous master who teach Kung fu for only chinese population in America. Within three minutes after the match has started, Bruce Lee defeated Jackman. Bruce Lee, after his match became so sad. He told that it was first time he took so long to beat someone, so he need to practice well. After this incident, Bruce Lee became very famous in America. This tournament was also a reason for Bruce Lee to reach in hollywood. 

In 1964, he started to act in small films and series. Though his characters were weak, he presented wonderful performances. After he started to act,  Bruce Lee had also became an enemy for Americans, the reason was that  he was a person from another country but became very popular and famous in their country. 

He has several world record like he can take 1500 pushups without stopping and 600 pushups with one hand and 400 pushups by using only two fingers and 100 pushups by using only his thumb. His one inch punch was also very famous on those days. He punches the opponent with one inch gap and that opponent will fall 5 meters away.

At that time when his life was moving in a better condition by acting in movies, in May 10, 1973 Bruce Lee felt dizzy and falled at a shooting set in Hong Kong. Suddenly he was hospitalized but no particular problems were found in Bruce Lee that time.

In July 10, 1973, Bruce Lee found dead at his friend's house. He death was a great mystery. Bruce Lee who was the king of martial arts had passed away in his age of 32. But still now, he has millions of fans all around the world.

From nothing, Bruce Lee has became a world changing figure. The most important thing that changed Bruce Lee is practice. With his regular practice he had done many things what others say is impossible.
