Eminem was the No. 1 rapper in the world. He has millions of fans all around the world. Behind Eminem's today's position, he had suffered lots of pain and loss in his life.
Marshall Bruce Mathers 3, known professionally as Eminem was born on 17 October, 1972 in Saint Joseph, Missouri, United States. His mother became pregnant at her age of 15. Eminem had never seen his father. His father left them alone after three months when Eminem has born. Eminem had grown only under the caring of his mother. Although after some years Eminem tried to see his father but his father refused to see him.
If we say about his mother, Deborah R. Nelson Mathers, she went for job with her son, Eminem at her age of 16 and when Eminem was 1 year old. The people had seemed his mother in a bad attitude when she goes to job with her child at her age of 16. So, because of that they won't live anywhere permanently. They had changed from place to place.
When we say about Eminem's school life, he has to change 2 - 3 schools in a year. So, because of that Eminem have no close friends for him. Mocking and harassing them is the main hobby of people. Eminem's childhood was so lonely. There is none to hear his problems.
There are two options when we had any problems. The first is to face our problems and the second is to elope from our problems. Eminem's mother had chosen the second option. For eloping from her problems, she used drugs and slowly she became a drug addict. There was once a situation when Eminem had undergone coma stage after a boy beat him in his school.
At this time, his only relaxation was his room. He spent his time by talking alone to himself in his room. Since his childhood, Eminem was a comic writer. He likes to hear and tell stories, but there was no one to hear his stories.
He had dropped out from his school for three times when he was studying in 9th standard. His mother got angry with this and kicked him out of the house.
Eminem loved to learn English, so he started learning many dictionaries. He once got impressed by hearing the song of Einstein, a singer and he got a passion in rapping.
Since his age of 14, he used to go for chores and with that salary, he went for learning rap. After learning some rap, in 1990, he joined a rap group named NWA in Los Angeles for learning rap.
After joining the group also he had faced several difficulties. Normally at that times, only the black people will learn raps. All of them believed that white people don't know how to sing. So, the black people in his group didn't like Eminem singing rap. They tried their maximum to discourage him and told him that he can't sing rap. But Eminem did not given up his hope. His friends also told him that he can't sing rap and to try something other than rap. But Eminem didn't listen to them. He stood firm for singing rap.
He continued singing in NWA rap group. At this time he falled in love with a lady named Kim Ann Scott. Then later they got married. In 1995, their child was born and they named her as Hailie Scott.
At this time, he took all his earnings and created an album named 'Infinite'. Only if the album becomes a hit and he get cash from it will they be able to move on with their lives, because he had spent all his earnings for creating it.
After creating the album, he started going into every production companies to sell the album. All the production companies jokingly asked him if this was a rap and sent him back. But he had no way for quitting because he had already spent all his earnings for this.
At this time, a production company bought his album and released it, but it became a failure. So, he had paid some amount which he had kept for house expenses to the production company as compensation. After this incident, his wife left him and his daughter all alone.
He had lost his hopes on rap and had lost his money and at last he had also lost his wife.
That time he thought of suicide. But by thinking of his daughter's future, he decided to live again.
He can't leave his daughter and his rap, so he went for a job of cleaning vessels in a restaurant. When he was free, he continued learning words in dictionary, because in raps each and every words are used more fluently.
After a year, he released an album named the 'Slim Shady' by his own. That rap got a little more reach than before. This time, a famous American rapper, Dr. Dre heard his album. At that times normally the black people only sings rap, so Dr. Dre got surprised as soon as realized that it was sung by a white man. He sent some people to bring Eminem to him. This was a life changing movement for Eminem.
Dr. Dre suggested him to participate in a rap battle held in Los Angeles. He participated in that event and had won the second prize. Later Dr. Dre became a guide for Eminem.
In 1999, Eminem released a world wide album named 'Slim Shady LP' with Dr. Dre. It was a great success and about 30 lakh copies had been sold. After this, his wife came back to him.
In 2000, he again released an album named the 'Marshall Mathers LP' and about 11 million copies had been sold and it was a world record.
The speciality of his raps was that he had sung many incidents that had held in his life through his songs. He had made millions of fans all around the world.
A man who once didn't have even the money for his daily food and who got many harm from others, now have net worth of US $230 million.
